Performance

Le Champignon Blanc is a site-specific voyage created after a residency period in the yellow building of the artistic centre ‘Le Citron Jaune’ in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, situated between one of Europe’s largest industrial zones and the Camargue nature reserve.
The audience is invited to gather at Le Citron Jaune, where Rita Hoofwijk’s voice draws them into a layered narrative; part myth, part memory, part invocation. Together, they embark on an unannounced journey towards Le Champignon Blanc, into the heart of a landscape marked by invisible pollution, culminating in an ephemeral act of tenderness in a place often unseen.

The project was conceived within the framework of LAND, a European initiative supporting artistic practices in landscapes facing the consequences of climate change.
